During a busy launch week M6-IT has attended events in both Birmingham and Manchester.

M6-IT officially launched at the Circuit Riders Conference in Birmingham, which took place on Monday and Tuesday. We are delighted with the interest shown in the CIC by the delegates we met there, and in turn gained some useful insights into best practice in the sector. The emphasis on practice and ethics at this year's event was particularly welcome. Good, too, to hear more about the forthcoming GNU/Linux training for circuit riders from OpenITUp.

Wednesday saw us at the Manchester Digital Development Agency for a meeting of the North West Ruby Users Group - a regional forum of Web developers. A good chance to discuss cross-over between the private and voluntary sectors, float some ideas for educational and community projects [watch this space ;] and to keep abreast of changes in Web technlogies.

M6-IT hope to be at a number of sector events this year, but we are constrained by a heavy workload. If you are interested in meeting up with us, please get in touch and if we are not going to be at an event you are attending, we will arrange a meeting instead.
