What's new in Rails 1.2?
The North West Ruby User Group is a regionally-based organisation for Ruby users generally, but most of the members are there for Rails, hence the high turnout for this talk on the soon-to-be official Rails 1.2.
M6-IT have skirted around Rails a few times, but are not regular users. Ruby, however, is a favourite language - good for admin tasks, great for teaching, and getting much better where past weaknesses, such as XML handling, are concerned. We are currently investigating teaching modules using Ruby, for younger pupils - we would be delighted to hear from any interested parties.
